Griffith Park celebrated the partial solar eclipse in style. The observatory offered glasses, lectures and more for the big universal event, which swept our nation. Reminding us that while Hollywood is full of stars, some of the best ones out there are up in the sky.

Every year in July, we get a slew of requests from reporters wanting to cover the Sign’s birthday. In truth, we have no idea the specific day the Hollywood Sign was unveiled (remember it was a billboard back in the day so not very newsworthy), although through extensive research, we do know it was erected in 1923. So wish it a happy anniversary not a happy birthday!
