The DASH Observatory bus service, operated by LADOT Transit, is a hassle-free (and eco-friendly) way to view the Hollywood Sign. DASH runs seven days a week and costs just 50 cents (25 cents for seniors and those with disabilities). Plus, there are no parking  hassles! Here is the schedule:

Dash Bus

Weekdays, Monday - Friday, from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. DASH buses run every 20 minutes from the Vermont/Sunset Red Line Station, then on to Los Feliz/ Hillhurst Boulevards and destinations in Griffith Park. (The early morning service will not serve The Greek Theatre or the Griffith Observatory).

Beginning at 10 a.m. on weekdays, DASH will run every 15 minutes until 10 p.m. and covers the entire route including the Greek Theatre and the Griffith Observatory, along with viewpoints and trails that lead to the Hollywood Sign. The last bus from the Vermont/Sunset station leaves at 9:45 p.m.

On weekends, beginning at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., DASH buses will run every 15 minutes covering the entire route (including The Greek Theatre and the Griffith Observatory, viewpoints and trails). The last bus from Vermont/Sunset leaves at 9:45 p.m.
