Griffith Park & Southern Railroad is located at 4400 Crystal Springs Drive inside Griffith Park. For 2024, the annual Holiday Light Festival Train Ride will run from Nov. 29 through Jan. 3. Trains will operate seven nights a week! However, the event will close down on Dec. 24, 25, and 31 for the observances of Christmas and New Year's Eve. Hours of operation are from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
There are some important logistical considerations to know about. First, tickets can sell out. If you have your heart set on riding the Griffith Park Christmas train, you're encouraged to purchase your tickets ahead of time. Time slots tend to fill up quickly on the weekends. Tickets are nonrefundable.
